About Emily

Emily earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Texas & Texas Woman's University Joint MSW program in Denton, TX. Emily is trained in EMDR, DBT, CPT, CBT, and other trauma-informed modalities. She has experience working in inpatient,  outpatient,  and emergency shelter settings. Emily has worked with many survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, spiritual abuse, and those with complex trauma, DID, BPD, PNES, PTSD, grief, and terminal illness. If desired, she can also provide biblical counseling.

About Richard-Michael

Richard-Michael Calzada is a somatic-based therapist trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. He completed his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2016. He has worked with a variety of individuals in hospital and outpatient settings. He sees clients between the ages of 13 and 75 and is an LGBTQIQA+ ally. Richard-Michael is compassionate in meeting college students, queer folx, and families where they are. His clinical interventions are somatic and emotion based, which can be helpful in alleviating anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and intrusive trauma responses.

About Miranda

Miranda Rex is a board certified music therapist, a licensed professional counselor, a licensed chemical dependency counselor - intern, and a national certified counselor. Miranda earned a Master of Arts and a Master of Science degree from Texas Woman's University for music therapy and counseling, respectively. Miranda utilizes a variety of modalities in therapy, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), child-centered play therapy (CCPT), individual psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and other trauma-informed practices. Miranda has many years experience with children and teens in home health, inpatient, and outpatient settings, but has professional experience with adults of all ages as well. If desired, Miranda can provide music therapy services in addition to traditional counseling services.
